KTM India has decided to stop selling two entry-level models in India-125 DUKE and RC125. These two motorcycles will no longer be available from April 1. However, for those who want to buy these motorcycles, some dealers still have stock. Due to the closure, the dealership is expected to offer various offers along with the dealership to empty the stock of the two bikes this month.
KTM 125 DUKE and RC125 Why is getting off in India
In India, 120 cc motorcycles are very popular. Again, the demand for 120 CC commuter models of sporty design has been increasing in recent times. In this case, most of the buyers are at the point of affordable stylish bikes such as Pulsar NS125, Xtreme 125r, and TVS Raider 125. These models are priced at around 1 lakh or a little higher.
The number of people who will buy 125 DUKE or RC 125 at a cost of Tk 1.5 or 1.5 lakh. Because in this budget, 1cc, 20cc, and even 20 cc bikes are coming. As a result, the wheels of the two bikes in India are stopping forever. And KTM has just realized that when sales are low, there is no intention of investing and upgrading to the 120cc range.
Note that the KTM 125 DUKE and RC125 segment were the only motorcycles where liquid-culled motors were found with six-speed gearbox. The 120cc engine produces 1.5 BHP and 12 NM torque. The bikes have upside down fork, disk brakes and switchable ABS features on both ends.
