BSNL secretly upgraded the broadband plan! But know whether the benefit has increased or decreased
BSNL Bharat Fiber broadband service was launched in 2020, with a basic plan priced at Rs 599. Recently, the telco quietly upgraded the benefits of its Rs 599 basic broadband plan. The company is believed to have taken this decision to retain customers. Let's find out what benefits were offered earlier in this Rs 599 plan of BSNL, and what has been changed now.
BSNL's Rs 599 Fiber Basic Plus plan
Earlier BSNL offered 60 Mbps download and upload speed with 3.3 TB monthly data to users of this plan. And according to the FAP policy, after the end of this data, the internet speed would be reduced to 2 Mbps.
However, currently this plan will offer 4 TB monthly data at 100 Mbps speed. And after the end of the given data, the internet speed will decrease to 4 Mbps.
BSNL Rs 599 Fiber Basic OTT Plan
Incidentally, BSNL offers another broadband plan at the same price in addition to the Rs 599 Fiber Basic Plus plan. And this Rs 599 plan is called Fiber Basic OTT Plan. With which 4 TB monthly data is provided at 75 Mbps speed. And as an OTT benefit, subscription to Disney Plus Hotstar Super is offered completely free. So for those customers who want to get OTT facility along with data facility, BSNL's Fiber Basic OTT plan can be the best.
Incidentally, users get free fixed line voice calling connection with both the above mentioned plans. However, here the landline connection has to be purchased separately by the customer.
