350 cc bikes alone, Royal Enfield’s sales rose 34% in June

Royal Enfield, one of India’s retro motorcycle manufacturers, has released its sales figures for the month of June. The company claims that they saw a total of 61,407 buyers of two-wheelers in India last month. Whereas a year ago at that time the sales volume was 50,265 units. As a result, a 34 percent rise in sales was observed.

Combined with exports and domestic sales, Royal Enfield handed over the keys to 77,109 buyers last month. Whereas in June last year, 61,407 units of two-wheelers were sold. As a result, this year’s sales have increased by 26%.

350cc motorcycles contribute the most to Royal Enfield’s sales. Which includes – Bullet, Hunter, Classic and Meteor. In June this year, the company sold 68,664 motorcycles of 350 cc. It was 50,405 units a year ago at that time. As a result, 36 percent excess has been noticed in this year’s demand.

Meanwhile, the company’s sales in the 350-650 cc segment stood at 8,445 units. Where 11,002 bikes were sold in June 2022. As a result, this year’s sales have fallen by 23%. Meanwhile, two-wheeler exports decreased to 9,614 units last month from 11,142 units last year. In this case the percentage of decline is 14%.

Commenting on the increase in sales, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said, “At Royal Enfield, we always strive to provide the best customer experience. Which makes our customers excited. We are thrilled to continue our growth in FY 2023-24.” Disclosing the figures, the company said it sold 2,27,706 units of motorcycles in the first quarter (April-June) of 2023-24. Last year at the same time it was 1,87,205 units. As a result, there was a 22 percent rise in sales.

Royal Enfield exported a total of 20,535 units of two-wheelers during April to June. It was 29,563 units a year ago. As a result, a 31% decline in exports has been noticed. During that period, the sales in the country’s market increased from 1,57,642 (June, 2022) to 2,07,171 (June, 2023). As a result, the percentage of progress is 31 percent.
