BMW Motorrad has ended the wait and announced the launch of F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure in the Indian market. The German company has priced these two premium adventure bikes at Tk 13.75 lakh and Tk 14.75 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The BME F 900 GS series will be imported and sold in India from abroad under the CBU route.
The BMW F900 GS will replace the F 850 GS model in the domestic market and will be positioned below the company's flagship adventure motorcycle R 1300 GS. The new model will be lighter and offer several modifications, improvements. It has a 14.5 liter fuel tank. Surprisingly, the F 900 GS Adventure version will get a bigger 23 liter fuel tank.
The power output of the BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure has also increased. Both the bikes are powered by an 895 cc twin cylinder engine that produces 103 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The powertrain will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.

BMW has equipped both bikes with LED lighting, 6.5-inch digital instrument console, riding mode, power mode, traction control, ABS, B-directional quickshifter, ABS. The F 900 GS series will get upside-down forks at the front and adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear.
