1 more year to wait, Tata-Maruti to launch 3 SUVs in 2025

A change is being observed in the car buying habits of Indians. Buyers are interested in cars with more space, advanced features and powerful engines. Naturally, SUVs are coming forward pushing the hatchback and sedan models. Among these, compact SUVs are most in demand. Mahindra XUV300 facelift is going to come in this segment this year. Again, several companies are looking forward to bring such cars in 2025. The list includes Hyundai, Kia and Skoda. Let’s know more about their upcoming models.

Skoda Compact SUV

Yesterday, Skoda confirmed that its entry-level compact SUV model will be launched in India by March 2025. Reportedly, the car will be based on the heavily localized MQB A0 IN platform. The car will have a lot in common with Kushaq and Slavia. It will be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. Both manual and automatic transmissions will be available on the 5-seater.

Next-Gen Hyundai Venue

Hyundai will bring the second generation Venue. In 2025, it will also start running on the roads of the country. Notably, it will be the first model to come out of the Telgaon plant acquired from General Motors. The car is codenamed Q2Xi. The new Hyundai Venue will be positioned above the Exter micro SUV model in the company’s lineup. There will be multiple updates in internal and external features. The price will therefore be relatively high.

Kia Clavis (AY)

Various reports claim that Kia is currently working on a new SUV. The model is referred to as AY within the organization. Speculations are rife, it might feature rugged styling. In terms of philosophy, a lifestyle may be closer to an SUV. However, it will not have off-roading capabilities like Maruti Suzuki Jimny and Mahindra Thar.

After the launch of the Kia AY, it is reported that it may be renamed Kia Clavis. This car will enter the international market by the end of this year. It is expected to come in three versions – IC engine, hybrid and electric. The five-seater car has already been spotted testing on Korean roads. More details about the car will come later.
