The company touched the milestone of 40 thousand sales within 6 months and 5 days of the launch of the world's first CNG bike Bajaj Freedom 125. As per the figures till January 10, the bike has sold a total of 40,206 units in the country. Bajaj Auto sees this figure as a big success as the first CNG bike.
The company claims the Freedom as an eco-friendly bike. The Freedom 125 will soon be exported abroad. Sales data suggests that the bike has seen its best sales since its launch during the festive season. That is in October-November 2024. 11,073 units in October. It was followed by 12,141 units sold in November. These two months figure for 58% of total sales. Sales fell slightly in December.
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike Mileage and Price
The Bajaj Freedom 125 motorcycle is powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.5 horsepower and 9.7 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj Auto claims that the bike has a top speed of 90.5 kmph when running on CNG and 93.4 kmph when switched to petrol power.
The company also claims that the Freedom 125 is capable of saving up to 50% in fuel consumption compared to ICE motorcycles. Reduces costs by up to Rs 1 per km. It has a 2 kg CNG tank, which provides a range of over 200 km. Additionally, the bike's 2-litre petrol tank acts as a range extender. The petrol tank provides a range of over 130 km when the CNG tank is empty.

In terms of emissions, compared to petrol-engined bikes, the Freedom emits 26.7% less CO2, 85% less NMHC (non-methane hydrocarbons) and 43% less NOx (nitrogen oxides), Bajaj said.
