After the success of the X440 model, Hero MotoCorp and the iconic American bike maker Harley Davidson are going to bring more new motorcycles in India in a joint venture.
The motorcycle market in India seems to be booming as time goes by. Companies trading in this country's market are reluctant to give each other a hair's breadth without a fight. Companies are seen bringing out new bikes every few months to keep the enthusiasm of the buyers alive. Hero MotoCorp (Hero MotoCorp) is going to hold the hand of Harley-Davidson (Harley-Davidson) more firmly to strengthen the business base in India. To strengthen their partnership, the two companies will launch multiple bikes in the market of this country.
Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp to launch more bikes in India
A recent report claimed that after seeing the success of Harley-Davidson X440 in India, Hero and Harley-Davidson are planning to launch more models from America. For this reason, they have completed the final stage of their contract extension. Later, more two wheelers will be launched to be sold in the international market. Out of which some models made in India will be exported abroad.
Currently Hero and Harley Davidson have jointly launched two bikes under their name. These are – Harley-Davidson X440 and Hero Mavrick 440. Both these bikes are manufactured at Hero's Neemrana plant in Rajasthan. Incidentally, Hero Mavrick 440 is Hero MotoCorp's most expensive bike. It currently costs Tk 1.99 lakh to Tk 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Hero Mavrick 440 is powered by a 440 cc single cylinder air cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 27 bhp and 36 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The bike is available in three trims – Base, Mid and Top.
On the other hand, Harley-Davidson X440 is currently priced between Tk 2.39 lakh to Tk 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The company also sells it in three variants – X440 Denim, X440 Vivid and X440 S. It also has the same 440 cc single cylinder engine as the power source. Its output is 27 bhp and 38 Nm. A six speed gear is connected to the engine.
