Matter Aera was launched last year as India's first geared electric motorcycle. But the delivery of the e-bike has not yet started. But now to end the wait, Matter Group has announced the delivery period. The company said the process of handing over keys to Aera will begin during the festive season this year. It is to be noted that the delivery was supposed to start from the first quarter of 2024, but for unknown reasons, Mater postponed it.
Delivery of Matter Aera bikes starts from festive season
Matter Aera was launched in the market in two variants, 5000 and 5000+. The company has priced them at Tk 1.74 lakh and Tk 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Next year, Mater is planning to launch two new variants of this electric bike. However, nothing has been revealed about the upcoming model.
Both the Matter Aera 5000 and 5000+ variants are powered by a 10 kW (13.4 bhp) electric motor. It will take 6 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 kmph. The organization claims that this battery-operated bike can run 125 km on a full charge.
Important features of the Mater electric bike include a 7-inch touchscreen console. Where navigation, music, calls etc. facilities are available. The battery of this bike can be charged through a 5 amp socket. The company claims that their e-motorcycle can run 1 km at a cost of just 25 paise. The company will start production soon. They have a production capacity of 60,000 models per year. It will later be increased to 120,000 if the demand increases.
