Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro as the world’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip in the Chinese market. Recently, Poco’s global executive David Liu announced from his X (ex-Twitter) handle that their upcoming phone (probably Poco F6) is going to be the first phone with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor in the global market. Ahead of the official launch, a report has now revealed several details about the Poco F6. Which includes important details like the camera.
Poco F6 specifications revealed
As revealed in an earlier report, the upcoming Poco F6 is codenamed “Period”. It also revealed that “N61” is the internal model number of the device. And now AndroidHeadlines, citing Mi Code as a source, claims that the Poco F6 will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera. Notably, the same camera is already used in phones like the Realme 12 Pro 5G and the iCoa Z9 5G.
The report also states that the main camera will be accompanied by an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide lens and possibly an Omnivision OV20B40 sensor for macro shots. However, it is also rumored that the final product may come with a dual-camera system, excluding the macro lens. Hence, the camera setup of the Poco F6 is still in the dark. However, it is expected that clear information will come out in the near future.
The Poco F6 is also rumored to have the SM8635 processor, which is actually the model number of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Notably, the same device will be launched in the Chinese market with the Redmi Note 13 Turbo branding. The Poco F6 is rumored to use OLED panels made by Chinese display manufacturers like TCLD and Tianma. This phone can be launched by next April or May.
