Nothing launched its first budget smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a) in India last week. The phone has been available for purchase from various retail outlets across the country as well as Flipkart, Croma and Vijay Sales since yesterday. The brand has already received a great response in India, as over 60,000 units of the Nothing Phone (2a) were sold within the first hour. The Nothing Phone (2A) is available in three storage variants in the Indian market –
8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – Tk 23,999.

Also, there is an additional Rs 2,000 off through Flipkart’s exclusive promotion, bringing the phone’s starting price down to just Rs 19,999. Customers can also purchase the CMF Bud at Rs 1,999 along with the phone (2A) and the CMF Power 65W Gallium Nitride (GaN) charger at a special price of Rs 1,999, reduced from the original price of Rs 2,499.

The Nothing Phone (2a) has a 6.7-inch flat display with FHS+ resolution, 120 Hz display and 1,300 nits peak brightness. The panel features HDR10 and 2,160Hz PWM dimming and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass5. For security, it also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Nothing Phone (2a) is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, which is paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
For photography, the Nothing Phone (2a) has two horizontal cameras on its circular island, including a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KG9 primary camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide Samsung JN1 sensor. The primary camera comes with optical image stabilization support. This camera island is surrounded by three glyph LED strips. The display has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor for selfies as well as face unlock.
For power backup, the Nothing Phone (2a) uses a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging. The phone runs Nothing OS 2.5 custom skin based on Android 14. The company has already started rolling out a patch called Nothing OS 2.5.3 to further improve the device’s software.
