After the successful launch of the flagship phone earlier in the year, OnePlus is now focusing on mid-range and other segment devices. The standard OnePlus Ace 3 entered the Chinese market last January. Currently the brand has started preparing to launch the OnePlus Ace 3V as the next model in the Ace 3 series. It was rumored that it will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. However, a tipster claims that the Ace 3V will have the new Snapdragon chipset. Let’s take a look at the details of the processor.
Name of processor used in OnePlus Ace 3V
The tipster claimed in a post on digital chat station Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site) that the OnePlus S3V will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 (SM7675) chip, the successor to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. It is reported that the same architecture as the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be found. It will have a Cortex-X4 large core with a maximum speed of 2.8 GHz, which is similar to the 8th gen 3.
Please note that currently the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip has a 1+3+4 configuration. The primary core runs at a maximum of 2.63 GHz, while the three performance cores are clocked at 2.4 GHz and the four efficiency cores are clocked at 1.8 GHz. The OnePlus S3V is expected to be launched as a mid-range device.
Recent reports have indicated that the phone will feature an 8T LTPO screen with 1.5K resolution and a 5,500mAh capacity battery. The OnePlus Ace 3V is expected to emphasize display quality and battery life. Meanwhile, Qualcomm is reportedly planning to introduce the SM7675 and SM8635 chips in March, which are essentially different frequency versions of the same chip. Both chips will come with the same architecture as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which promises blazing performance and efficiency.
