iQOO is currently said to be working on its next Z-series smartphone, called the iQOO Z9. It has already received approval from Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG). The specifications have also surfaced through various reports. And now, the iQOO Z9 has appeared on the GeekBench benchmarking platform, revealing some of its key features as usual. Let’s see what the benchmark listing reveals about the upcoming iQOO Z-series phone.
The iQOO Z9 was spotted on the Geekbench database
Vivo Ico Z9 with model number I2302 is listed on Geekbench database. The listing reveals that the phone has a motherboard codenamed k6886v1_64, which consists of six cores clocked at 2GHz and two cores clocked at 2.80GHz. This core configuration matches the MediaTek Dimension 7200 chipset. The iCo Z9 will offer 8GB of RAM, but more options are expected to hit the market at launch. It will also run the latest Android 14 operating system, according to the Geekbench database.
In terms of benchmark results, the iCo Z9 scored 1,186 and 2,683 points in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Please note that earlier some sources indicated that the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 or MediaTek Dimension 8300 processor, which does not match the information in the benchmarking database. So we have to wait for more reports to get clarity about the processor of iCo Z9.
A recent report revealed that the iQOO Z9 will feature an OLED display with 1.5K resolution. This will be an upgrade over the predecessor iQOO Z8’s IPS LCD panel. It is also said to have a massive 6,000 mAh battery. It is rumored to have a dual rear camera setup. iQOO Z9 may be launched in March i.e. next month. So more information about this phone is expected to come out in the next few weeks.
