Honor X9b’s front camera, software details revealed 1 day before launch

Htech is all set to launch the much-awaited Honor X9b smartphone in the Indian market tomorrow (February 15). The brand has been gradually releasing various specifications for weeks ahead of the official announcement. HTech CEO Madhav Seth has now revealed the front camera details of the upcoming Honor X9b on social media. It is also known which Android version the device will run on.

Honor X9b’s front-facing camera and operating system

HTech’s Chief Executive Officer Madhav Seth confirmed in his X (ex-Twitter) post that the Honor X9B will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It is also reported that the device will launch with Android 13 operating system, which will have Magic OS 7.2 software on top. The handset is claimed to get two years of Android upgrades and three years of security updates.

Since, the phone is already available in the global market, its specifications are no longer unknown. The Honor X9B will house a 108-megapixel primary camera, which will support lossless zoom capabilities. Like the global version, the Indian model of the X9B is expected to feature a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Also, the Honor X9b will feature a curved-edge 6.78-inch AMOLED panel on the front, offering 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device will be powered by MediaTek Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which will be paired with 8GB RAM, 8GB virtual RAM, 256GB storage. In terms of power backup, the Honor X9b will have a massive 5,800 mAh battery. Currently, there is no information available about the fast charging capability of the device.

In the Indian market, the Honor X9b will come in Sunshine Orange and Midnight Black color options. Currently, nothing is known about its price. However, the company has confirmed that buyers of the X9b will get a complimentary mobile protection plan priced at Rs 2,999, which will offer one-time screen replacement within six months of purchasing the handset, along with an 18-month warranty and door-to-door support.
