On the one hand, while world renowned two-wheeler manufacturers like Harley-Davidson, Triumph are busy launching entry level models in India, another popular company in the international market, Benelli, has increased the prices of two premium bikes in their portfolio in India overnight. From now on, customers will have to spend an additional Rs. 25,000 to buy the company’s most popular adventure bikes – TRK 502 and TRK 502X. As a result of the price hike, the first model is currently priced at Tk 5.85 lakh ex-showroom and the second model at Tk 6.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X prices increased
One thing to note is that since the launch of the BS6 version, the price of the TRK 502 range has been increased by around one lakh rupees so far. 4.80 lakh ex-showroom to get the keys to the old version of this bike. Incidentally, various parts of this bike are imported into India through Adiswar Auto Ride India (AARI). The entire bike is then assembled at the company’s own factory near Hyderabad.
Engine specification
Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X are adventure touring motorcycles with mid-range engines. It is powered by a liquid cooled 500 cc parallel twin engine. The engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 47 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The number of gears is six. There is no change in the specifications of this bike along with the price increase.
paint scheme
The Benelli TRK 502 model is available in a total of four colors – Dark Grey, White, Green and Black. On the other hand, the TRK 502X model is also available in a total of four paint schemes – Dark Grey, White, Green and Yellow. Its top model is only available in yellow color with an ex-showroom price of Tk 6.50 lakh. Other features of both bikes include switch with lights, semi digital instrument console, knuckle guard (handguard) and split seat. While the 502 model is built on alloy wheels, its off-road version i.e. 502X comes with spoked wheels.
Suspension, brakes and rivals
Both bikes have a 20-litre fuel tank, 50mm wide inverted forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Braking system is available with 320 mm disc at front and 260 mm disc at rear. With dual channel ABS as a safety feature. There are quite a few adventure bikes available in the market to rival the Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X. Some of the best models among them are Moto Morini X-Cape, Kawasaki Versys 650 and Honda CB500X.
