Yamaha Motor India is currently planning to launch several premium motorcycles in India. Among which two of the most awaited models are YZF-R3 and MT-03. Both these mid-range bikes are likely to be officially launched in India during the festive season this year. A few dealerships have already started taking bookings for both the bikes for interested buyers.
Yamaha will launch more bikes with YZF-R3 and MT-03
Along with the Yamaha YZF-R3 and MT-03, the YZF-R7, MT-07 and MT-09 models are also coming. The company’s dealer partners in the country have already showcased these models. The leaked images of which have fueled the enthusiasm of eager buyers. The design and performance of the bikes have left the aspiring buyers enthralled.
Yamaha YZF-R3 and MT-03: Features and Engine
Yamaha YZF-R3 is a full-faired sports bike. In this country, the competitors are KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The MT-03, on the other hand, is essentially a streetfighter model that will take on the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R. Both the bikes have a 321 cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled engine. From which 40.4 bhp of power and 29.4 Nm of torque will be available. There is a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch to handle the transmission.
Both the motorcycles will come with multiple premium features. Like – KYB upside-down front fork, monoshock rear suspension, a full digital instrument cluster, all-LED lighting system etc. Both models will come with disc brakes (298 mm front and 220 mm rear) on both wheels. There is dual channel ABS for protection.
Yamaha YZF-R3 & MT-03: Possible Price
The upcoming Yamaha R3 is likely to be priced between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4 lakh. Meanwhile, MT-03 may be priced at Rs 3-3.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The price is relatively high because Yamaha will import and sell the two models in this country.
