Redmi launched the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ as their entry-level phones in India last month. The standard Redmi A2 model came in 2GB RAM + 32GB storage, 2GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants. Although the company is selling only the base 2GB + 32GB and top-end 4GB + 64GB variants of the handset in the country. However, the 2GB + 64GB storage option of the Redmi A2 will soon be available for purchase in India. The sale of this model will start in India from July 20. The company also gives a 2-year warranty on this phone, but if you buy it before July 31, you will get additional benefits only. Redmi A2 Price and Availability in India
Currently, the Redmi A2 phone is priced at Rs 6,299 and Rs 7,999 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and the top-end 4GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. However, its mid-tier 2GB RAM + 64GB storage variant can be purchased exclusively from MAE Store and Amazon at a price of Tk 6,799 from June 20. Redmi A2 comes in three attractive color options like Sea Green, Aqua Blue and Classic Black.
Specifications and features of Redmi A2
The Redmi A2 features a 6.52-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 1,600 × 720 pixels, offering 400 nits peak brightness, 120 Hz touch sampling rate, and a waterdrop notch. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor, coupled with an IMG GE8320 GPU for graphics. The phone will have a maximum of 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 64 GB of storage and a dedicated micro-SD card slot for additional storage. Redmi A2 runs on Android 13 (Go Edition) operating system. It also has the MIUI Dialer app.
For photography, the rear panel of the Redmi A2 features an AI dual camera setup with an 8-megapixel primary sensor. And there is a 5 megapixel front camera in front of the phone. For power backup, the Redmi A2 comes with a powerful 5,000mAh battery, which supports standard 10W charging.
