As internet users take to social media to constructively criticize various brands of products, they are also sometimes seen merely poking fun at their negative aspects. In today’s era, memes will not be created about tech products, it does not happen like that. So social media is flooded with various tech product related memes. And in between, there’s often a mimsch where the iPhone 14 and Galaxy S23 Ultra are mocked for looking almost identical to the previous generation models. And now a similar meme is trending, where a person is seen holding a shirt while wearing a similar shirt. This meme is aimed at Nothing Phone (2). But company CEO Carl Pei doesn’t seem to agree. He hinted that their new smartphone will be different from the Nothing Phone (2).
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei hinted at a redesign on the Nothing Phone (2).
After Twitter users mocked the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) for looking similar to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone (1), the company’s founder and chief executive officer, Carl Pei, was forced to weigh in. He responded in a tweet, indicating that the new model will have a different design He asked those who were sending him the said meme on Twitter to wait for the phone to be released. And Carl Pei’s tweet of “just wait and see” calls into question the authenticity of the renders recently leaked by tipster Steve Hammerstoffer, as the images claimed to be renders of the Nothing Phone (2) are nothing from the Phone (1). No major design upgrades hinted at.
However, Carl Pei has not revealed anything about the new changes that Nothing is going to bring to their next-generation phones. However, the company has already teased a similar design for the Nothing Phone (2) with some changes in the layout of the glyph interface on the rear panel, so don’t expect to see any major changes. We will have to wait for its official launch next month to know what the Phone (2) might actually look like.
Note that the company has kept its promise with the Nothing Phone (1), so expectations are high for the second generation. After all, the Carl Pei-led startup aims to revolutionize the “boring” smartphone market. Based on the information that has surfaced so far, the Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a 4,700 mAh battery unit and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. Improvements can also be seen in its display and camera department.
