Realme Watch is finally launched today with some other Realme devices like Smart Tv, Realme Buds Air Neo, and more. Now, after months of teasing the company reveals the much-awaited Realme Watch in India today. It features a colored display, a few sport modes, proprietary software, and a lot more.
Realme Watch Specifications and Features
1. Display and Design
Talking about the display, Realme Watch includes a 1.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 320 and has around 380 nits of brightness. The display has a protection of Gorilla Glass 3. The company’s logo is present just below the display, but it’s barely noticeable. You will have to tilt the watch at some angle to see it.
Realme’s watch has some of the functionalities as the Fitness Band that the brand launched march this year, including a heart rate sensor, sleep monitoring, and the India-targeted cricket-tracking mode. The Watch builds with polycarbonate and has a metallic finish. The watch has a single yellow-colored button on the right and has silicon straps to round up. Realme is offering classic straps right now but fashion straps are coming soon.
2. Operating System
Realme Watch is powered with the company’s proprietary software. you can access a lot of features including notification support for calls (lets you mute or end call) and apps (like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, and more).
You actually can’t take calls on Realme Watch as it doesn’t have any microphone and speaker on board. You can directly access to most of your activities records through the Watch. There is no need to open the Realme Link application to view your activity details, heart rate chart, or even sleep monitoring info.
Realme Watch offers you quick access to music controls and a shutter button. This means that you don’t need to access your phone to change songs or adjust the volume. With that shutter button the watch, you can easily take a solo or group selfies.
3. Heart Rate and Sleep monitoring
The smartwatch is equipped with a PPG sensor provided by Goodix. It will let you monitor your heart rate and the watch will send you alerts for low and high heart rate.
Apart from Heart Rate Monitoring, you can also monitor your sleep and blood oxygen saturation levels. All of this data will be available on the watch, which you can connect to your phone over Bluetooth 5.0.
4. Battery Life
The smartwatch includes a 160mAh battery and Realme claims the watch gives you a battery backup of 7 to 9 days and enabling the power saving mode can extend your battery life to 20 days but it will disable some of the features.
5. Sport Modes
The Smartwatch can support up to 14 sport modes including Outdoor Run, Walk, Indoor Run, Outdoor Cycle, Aerobic Capacity, Strength Training, Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Indoor Cycle, Elliptical machine, Yoga, and Cricket. There’s no GPS in the smartwatch that may rely on the phone for mapping your activity.
6. Water Proof
The Smartwatch has IP68 Rating making the watch water and dust resistant, you can swim or take a shower wearing this watch without any issue.
Price and Availability
Realme Watch is priced at Rs. 3,999 in India, launching the Smartwatch at such an affordable price with a lot of features making this watch one of the best from its competitors, and this watch is set to launch in India early next month.
The smartwatch comes with swappable straps in four colors including red, black, blue, and green. You can pick straps separately for Rs. 499. Realme Watch with a black strap will go on sale from 5th June on Flipkart and Realme’s official website.
