But in China, Xiaomi makes everything from smartphones to smartwatches, vacuum cleaners to air fryers. Xiaomi surprised by announcing its entry into the car business in 2021. Deliveries of the company's first electric car, the Xiaomi SU7, have begun this year. It has recently been demonstrated in India as well. Let's see what special features this car has.
Xiaomi SU7 Features
Xiaomi has packed features in cars like smartphones. There is no key with the car. Must be activated with an NFC card. The steering wheel has a heating function and a 7.1-inch flip-up digital instrument cluster greets you when switched on. The front seats are electrically adjustable and offer ventilation and heating functions.
The massive 16.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system is powered by the company's HyperOS software. The interiors are of a very high standard. Besides, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) level 2 technology will assist the driver in driving. As a result, the chances of accidents will be reduced. For this, Xiaomi SU7 Max is equipped with 11 high-definition cameras.
Xiaomi SU7 Range and Power
Xiaomi's electric car is available in three variants in China. But in India the company has only brought the Max version. It has all-wheel drive and dual electric motors. Total power output is 673 HP and 838 Nm. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.78 seconds. The company claims that the 101kWh battery of Xiaomi SU7 Max will give a range of 800 km.
Price and when will it be launched in India?
The Xiaomi SU7 is currently available in China for 2,15,900 Yuan to 2,99,900 Yuan, which equates to Rs 25.4 lakh to Rs 35.3 lakh in Indian currency. Xiaomi said it has no plans to launch in any other countries at the moment, at least for a few years. However, the car is expected to come to India in the future as well.
