There was an uproar among buyers when the price of a pair of Triumph motorcycles in India came to light. The two models are Triumph Street Triple 765R and 765RS. The official website of the company said that the two bikes have become cheaper by Tk 48,000 and Tk 12,000 respectively. But within 24 hours, the company took away that happy smile from the faces of bike lovers. Triumph has clarified that the price drop was purely due to a website error.
In a statement, the company said, “The technical issue with the website has been resolved. Triumph apologizes for this error.” Britain's Namzada two-wheeler company has virtually apologized to customers. However, the demand for the Triumph Street Triple 765 R and Triumph Street Triple 765 RS among Indian buyers is noteworthy since its launch last year.
The company added, “The two motorcycles have captivated Indian buyers and bikers due to their unrivaled performance and exceptional riding experience. The two models have become one of the choices of buyers across the country for their world-class technology and sleek design.”
Incidentally, the current price of Triumph Street Triple 765 R and Triumph Street Triple 765 RS is Rs 10.17 lakh and Rs 11.81 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Both models feature a 765 cc, liquid cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3-cylinder petrol engine. But the tuning of the two models is different. The former gets 120 PS of power and 80 Nm of torque. While the second has an output of 130 PS and 80 Nm.
