The country's third largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea (Vi) has quietly launched a new unique prepaid plan named Re 1. And the reason why this plan is called a unique plan is that it offers the facility of calling at just Rs.1. Although, the plan does not provide any validity, but it helps to connect with people at a very low cost. Let's find out how this plan can work for you.
Vodafone Idea Re 1 Plan Benefits
Vodafone Idea's Rs 1 plan has a validity of 1 day and also offers 75 paisa talktime. However, no data or SMS benefits are provided with it. However, on-net night minutes are bundled with this plan. Therefore, only those who recharge a basic plan of Tk 99, Tk 198 or Tk 204 can use it. Note that all these three plans offer limited talk time. So when the talk time provided by the plan is over, users can recharge the new plan by spending Rs 1 per call. But remember, users can only make missed calls through this plan.
Incidentally, as mentioned earlier, Vodafone Idea offers a Rs 99 plan, which is currently not offered by any other private telecom company in India. And it gives customers 200 MB data benefit with 15 days validity and talk time of Rs.99.
Also, Vodafone Idea's Rs 198 and Rs 204 plans offer 30 days i.e. 1 month validity and 500 MB data. Besides, these two plans also offer talk time of Rs.198 and Rs.204 respectively.
Vodafone Idea's new Rs.1 plan is one of the most affordable services offered by the telecom industry so far. Besides, it goes without saying that it is an affordable and great plan. But now it remains to be seen how long the telco offers it. It is believed that the company may completely remove the plan or increase its price in the near future.
