Recently, Vietnam’s electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has entered the Indian market. They have laid the foundation stone of their factory in Tamil Nadu. This time, the company has filed the first electric vehicle design trademark in this country. Named VinFast VF3. It is a micro electric SUV with two doors and four seats. It is expected to be launched at a cheaper price and will challenge the MG Comet EV in that regard. However, there is no confirmation about the timing of the launch of the car.

The dimensions of the car are known. VinFast VF3 length, width and height are 3,190mm, 1,678mm and 1,620mm respectively. It has a large boot space of 550 liters. No information regarding the battery pack is known yet. The company only said that the car will run 200 kilometers on a full charge.
In the global market VinFast VF3 is sold in two variants – Eco and Plus. However, the car can be chosen in only one motor configuration. The cabin features a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It has a digital instrument cluster for the driver with a multi-function steering wheel of two spoke design. Also present are automatic climate control, dual airbags and cruise control
Incidentally, Vinfast’s electric vehicle factory is being built on 400 acres of land in Tamil Nadu. The company said it will invest 500 million dollars or about 4,160 million rupees in five years. 1,50,000 units of cars will be manufactured there annually. Besides, they are planning to expand their dealership network across the country, so that cars can be delivered to people from all corners of the country.
