After shaking the world of traditional petrol-powered two-wheelers, Hero MotoCorp entered the world of electric vehicles in 2022. They launched the V1 e-scooter under a new sub-brand called Vida. At that time it came in Plus and Pro variants. But the sales of V1 Plus stopped in time. The company continued to sell only the Vida V1 Pro model. But seeing the huge demand for the electric two-wheeler, Hero today re-launched the Vida V1 Plus variant at a cheaper price.
Hero Vida V1 Plus is back in the market
Below the Vida V1 Pro in the company’s lineup will be the Vida V1 Plus model. Price is pegged at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). It is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the V1 Pro model. A portable charger will be given in that price. The central government’s FEM-II scheme will get the subsidy benefits again. You will be surprised to hear that the additional subsidy will cost Rs 97,800 (ex-showroom) to buy the Vi Pro in Delhi.
Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro share the same electric motor. Its output is 6 kW. However, the Plus variant will take 0.2 seconds longer to accelerate from 0-40 km/h than the Pro. A 3.44 kWh battery is present in the V1 Plus. The company claims that it will actually get a range of 100 kilometers on a full charge. Top speed is 65 km per hour.
On the other hand, Vida V1 Pro’s 3.94 kWh battery is capable of covering 110 km in real-world conditions on a full charge. In terms of other features, V1 Plus and V1 Pro can be said to be equal. Like design, chassis, wheels, brakes, colors, touchscreen display are same in both the models. Vida V1 Plus has competitors in the market – Ather 450 Plus and Ola S1 Air.
