Electric two-wheeler manufacturers see India as the most promising market. In fact, companies are launching eye-catching models to attract more customers. This time, Ultraviolette Automotive, one of the country’s electric two-wheeler startups, is believed to be walking on that path. Recently, the Bangalore-based company registered the trademark X44 in the country. Which has strengthened the speculation of their new e-bike launch. It will be the company’s second model in the country after the Ultraviolette F77.
Ultraviolette may launch affordable electric sports bike
No specific information is known about UltraViolet’s new electric bike. But it is expected to come relatively cheap. So as to attract more customers. The company’s high-end F77 e-bike costs Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom). And the most expensive variant is priced at Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Which is out of reach for middle class buyers. That’s why UltraViolet is committed to bringing affordable bikes.
Speculations are rife that the company is currently cutting back on features to keep the price of the upcoming electric bike within the reach of middle-class buyers. It will largely follow the F77 in terms of design. The F77 is the country’s first high performance electric motorcycle as well as the fastest and long-range e-bike. The top variant has a 10.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. The motor produces a maximum power of 38.9 HP and a torque of 95 Nm.
The company claims that the Ultraviolette F77 can run 307 kilometers on a full charge. It is available in three variants – Airstrike, Shadow and Laser. Each is made on the soil of this country. The company offers a warranty of 8 years or 1,00,000 km (whichever is earlier).
