Various electric two-wheeler manufacturers operating in India have been announcing price hikes for their various models ever since the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries announced a reduction in subsidy under the FEM-II scheme. Needless to say, this increase in prices has created an additional burden on the shoulders of buyers. Like others, TVS Motor has also announced a price hike of Rs 22,000 for its only electric scooter iQube.
TVS iQube Electric Scooter New Price
A couple of weeks ago, TVS announced a price hike of their only electric scooter by Rs 17,000-22,000 depending on the variant. Now the company has revealed the new price of iQube. The TVS iQube standard will now cost Rs 1.23 lakh, while the iQube S has been priced at Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
Savings up to Rs.9,000
Meanwhile, TVS announced ‘Loyalty Benefit Program’ for the buyers of this electric scooter. It was said that booking TVS iQube before May 20 will cost Rs 1.16 lakh. Whereas the iQube S will cost Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). In other words, the buyers who booked the scooter before the said date, they managed to save Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 9,000 respectively.
The two-wheeler company said it has managed to sell a total of 20,000 units of electric scooters in May. And in the financial year 2022-23, TVS iQube managed to touch the milestone of 1 lakh model sales. Now, time will tell how the price hike from June affects the sales of electric scooters.
