TVS Ronin SCR: This is the first off-road bike from TVS to take on the Hero Expuls

TVS Motor Company (TVS Motor Company) is going to turn its attention to the off-road bike segment. The company has filed a patent for a new variant of the TVS Ronin sold in India. The model name is – Ronin SCR. Notably, Ronin was launched in the market in mid-2022. Although it is a road-going model, the new variant will come in the off-road segment.

The Ronin SCR was unveiled at MotoSoul 2023

The patented Ronin SCR was unveiled at TVS MotoSoul 2023. Apart from this, the company showcased three more custom bikes. It is designed by the design team of TVS. Out of the four, the company has chosen the SCR model this time. This decision of TVS is due to the increasing demand of adventure and scrambler bikes.

The TVS Ronin SCR is rivaled by Hero Xpulse 210 and Honda CB350X. The upcoming variant carries the oil tank and engine from the outgoing model. Design elements include round headlights, T-shaped LED DRLs, rugged body panels, leather-wrapped single piece seats, large luggage rack.

The SCR bike is likely to come with Ronin’s standard model 220 cc single cylinder engine. It produces 19 HP of power and 17.55 Nm of torque. Its wheelbase is 1,490 mm. Notable features include TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, turn by turn navigation, call alert, SMS notification etc. There is no specific word on when the bike will be launched in the market.
