Triumph recently surprised by the rebirth of the name ‘Daytona’. Speculations are rife that the new generation Daytona 660 will make its debut in India this year. Before that, this super sports bike was launched in Europe. It is priced at 10,045 Euros, which in Indian currency is around 8. 98 lakhs. Triumph Daytona 660: Design
At the outset it is worth mentioning that the Triumph Daytona 660 is much newer than its 675cc predecessor. Various necessary updates have come in keeping with the times. Up front is a pair of split LED headlights. Sharp lines are noticeable along the edges of the muscular fuel tank. All these design elements are actually intended to direct the flow of air coming from the front. It will be available in three color options – Snowdonia White, Satin Granite and Carnival Red.
Triumph Daytona 660: Features, Hardware
TFT color display is used to provide various information required by the rider. With smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, phone calls and music functions can be used. Additionally three modes are available namely Sports Road and Rain. Built on a tubular steel frame, the Triumph Daytona 660 uses Showa USD forks and pre-load adjustable suspension to handle the suspension duties. For brakes, there are 310 mm twin front discs and 220 mm single rear discs.
Triumph Daytona 660: Engine Specifications
A 660 cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is used in the Triumph Daytona 660 Supersport. It can produce a maximum power of 93 bhp and 69 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gear box and a multi-plate slipper clutch. It is expected to launch in India by March or April.
