The vehicles expected to be affected by the price hike are – Toyota Fortuner, Hilux, Innova Hycross, Innova Crysta, Urban Cruiser Hyrider and Glanza. In an official statement, Toyota said, “Toyota today announced plans to increase the price of Kirloskar Motors. From April 1, 2024, the prices of certain vehicles are being increased. The move is to increase input costs and operating costs.”
Other automobile companies besides Toyota and Hyundai are expected to follow the price hike path at the start of the new financial year. Note that currently Toyota has started preparations to bring the rebadge model of Maruti Suzuki Fronx. The company will launch the Urban Cruiser Taisor on April 3. On the other hand they will bring a new variant of Innova Hycross GX(O). The model has already been registered on the brand’s website.
