Tata Motors has been testing its new SUV Curvv for the past few months. The car was unveiled in an electric avatar last year. She won everyone’s attention with her beautiful looks. The car will slot above the Nexon in the company’s lineup. It will appear in both electric and ICE configurations. The car is likely to be launched next year. But the electric version will come first.
Recently, the testing model of the Tata Curve was spotted on Indian roads for the first time. Which brings out some information.
Tata Curvv may be launched next year
Looking at the new spy pictures, there is not much idea about the design of the car. Because it is completely covered by camouflage. However, it is understood that it has a lot of similarities in terms of design with the concept version. Even its front DRLs are similar to the concept version. Besides, the wheels are also similar.
The Curve car is based on Tata’s second-generation EV architecture. This platform is capable of developing cars with different body styles. Meanwhile, Tata has not yet announced anything about the output of the upcoming electric SUV model. It is only said that a dual motor setup will be offered. The car with all wheel drive can provide a range of 400 to 500 km on a full charge.
Incidentally, the ICE version of the Tata Curvv, which will be showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, will come with a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder, direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. Again, the company has also shown a glimpse of the bigger 1.5 liter four cylinder version of the car. Which will produce 123 bhp of power and 225 Nm of torque.
