The new generation Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was launched in India last year. This adventure bike has already hit the market. Almost nine months after its launch in India, the Made-in-India Himalayan has set foot in Malaysia. DD Group, the sole distributor of Royal Enfield in that country, imported the motorcycle from India.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be available in five color options and three variants, rivaling the KTM 390 Adventure in Malaysia. There price in Indian currency is Rs 5.87 lakh to Rs 6.17 lakh. Please note that the price of the adventure bike in this country is Rs. 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). New Himalayan is also found in Europe and England.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 comes with the new 452 cc Sherpa engine. This liquid cooled engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 39.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Available with slipper clutch and six speed gearbox.
Notable features of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 include circular color TFT screen, mobile connectivity, GPS navigation, full LED lighting, ride-by-wire throttle and switchable ABS. The Himalayan 450 is much lighter than the original Himalayan. It weighs 196 kg.
