Maruti Suzuki has finally started delivering the five-door Jimny. Although this off-road SUV made its debut at the Auto Expo in January, the launch took place a few days ago. Although the booking started from January. Maruti Suzuki Jimny started its journey towards the homes of the booked customers as soon as the price was announced. Maruti has started making deliveries to the first lot of customers. The keys of this car will reach the customers step by step.

Maruti Jimny’s base model ex-showroom price is Tk 12.74 lakh. But to buy the top version you have to spend 15.05 lakh taka (ex showroom) from your pocket. The pre-booking figures give some idea of how popular the Jimny is going to be. In the last six months, more than 30,000 bookings have accumulated in Jimny’s account.
The five-door off-road vehicle is being manufactured at the Gurugram plant for export to the Indian as well as international markets. Due to huge demand, newly booked customers will have to wait several months to get the keys to this car. According to Maruti dealers, this waiting period can be from six months to about eight months depending on the variant. The car will reach the customers through Maruti Premium Showroom Nexa.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Specifications and Features
A look at the performance of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, it is powered by a 1.5 liter petrol engine. Its maximum power and torque are 103 bhp and 134 Nm respectively. There are five-speed manual and four-speed torque converter transmission options. Both models have four-wheel drive technology as standard. Several advanced technologies have also been added to the braking system including Hill Descent Control for smooth driving on hilly roads.
Launched as the successor of the once market-shattering model Gypsy, this Jimny is packed with various advanced features. Among them are infotainment system with 9-inch touch screen (low-variant 7-inch screen), Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, climate control, cruise control, start/stop, etc. Moreover, keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Isofix child seat mount and reverse camera are available in it.
