Yes, the long wait is about to end soon. TVS Motor Company is preparing to give a big surprise by adding a brand new model to the Apache series. The name of the new bike is Apache RTR 310. Which is actually the naked version of the company’s flagship model RR 310. While the latter is a sports bike with a fairing, the upcoming model will come with streetfighter styling. It is clear that the TVS Apache RTR 310 has been designed following the Draken concept that debuted in 2014. The pictures of the bike leaked during the ad video shoot are enough to give you sleepless nights. The front fascia, fuel tank and shoulder fairing are eye-catching at first glance. All LED lights, golden USD fork, slick split seat and upward facing exhaust hints at high-tech features.
As the latest naked bike, TVS Apache RTR 310 competes with KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R and BMW G310R in the market. TVS can add various attractive color themes and graphics to the bike to enhance its appeal. Also the company can keep customization options like RR 310.
The Apache RTR 310 will follow its sibling the Apache RR 310 in terms of features. It may have a smartphone-like tall TFT screen, TVS SmartXonnect connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation etc. Talking about the performance, the bike will be powered by a 312.2 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It will produce 33.5 bhp of power and 27.3 Nm of torque. The powertrain will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
As hardware, the Apache RTR 310 will be offered with trellis frame, USD fork, monoshock suspension. Braking duties will be handled by 300mm front and 240mm rear petal disc brakes. Dual channel ABS will be available. Note that instead of RTR 310, this bike can also be called TVS Apache RTX. Because the company has recently trademarked this name.
