Tecno Camon 17 has been revealed in Keny as the new budget offering. The smartphone comes with a 90Hz punch-hole display, MediaTek octa-core chipset, 48MP triple rear camera, a big battery, and more. The phone already spotted on FCC and Google Play console listing ahead of launch.

Tecno Camon 17 features a 6.6 inches IPS LCD display with HD+ ( 720 x 1600 pixels ) resolution, 267 PPI, 90Hz refresh rate, 90% screen-to-body ratio, and 450 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset coupled with Arm Mali G52 GPU. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In terms of camera, the smartphone boasts a triple rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a QVGA sensor.
For selfies, the phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera under the punch-hole at the top left corner. The device is running on Android 11 with HiOS 7.6 on top. Tecno Camon 17 is packed with a 5000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging. For connectivity, the smartphone includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GNSS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of sensors, the phone sports an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

TECNO CAMON 17 comes in two configurations namely 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB starting at Ksh 18,899 in Kenya. The phone is expected to launch in other markets soon.
