The only key to increasing the number of electric vehicles is to build enough charging stations in the country. And Tata Power (Tata Power) has vowed in that event. The company announced yesterday that they have so far built more than 1,000 electric vehicle chargers in Mumbai alone. Tata is hopeful that this will help increase the sales of eco-friendly vehicles in the city in the future.
Tata Power has installed more than 1,000 EV chargers
Tata Power owns one of the largest networks of electric vehicle chargers in the country. After installing 1000 chargers, the organization aims to install 4000 more chargers. Currently, Tata Power has 44 chargers in public areas, 385 in residential areas and 58 in commercial areas such as malls and hotels. Besides, there are 531 chargers in other places.
Tata Power has set up 19 fast charging points on the Mumbai-Pune highway and 26 on the Mumbai-Goa highway. According to company sources, Tata Power has installed 4,000 charging points in Maharashtra so far. Apart from this, their chargers are installed in 475 cities and towns in India.
Incidentally, building a robust charging network is a critical step in increasing the uptake of battery-powered vehicles anywhere in the world. As there are more charging points in public spaces, the number of electric vehicles in the area will continue to increase.
