Tata is the king of the electric car world, this report is for you if you want to buy the company’s EV

As of now, India’s battery-powered car market is dominated by domestic carmaker Tata Motors. Although foreign companies like Hyundai or MG have launched electric vehicles in this country, they have not yet been able to compete with Tata. Tata Motors’ portfolio includes electric vehicles priced from Tk 8.69 lakh to Tk 19.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The models included are Tiago EV, Tigor EV and Nexon EV. Currently, if you book any of these cars, you will have to wait for some time to get the keys. Today’s report is to give an idea about the waiting period of Tata electric vehicles in the third week of July.

Tata Motors EV: Waiting period

Tata Motors sells electric vehicles in all three segments – hatchback, sedan and compact SUV. The waiting period is currently almost the same for each model. In other words, customers will have to wait up to four weeks to get the car keys in all three cases of Tiago EV, Tigor EV and Nexon EV. Although all these models have multiple variants available. Individual waiting periods may vary depending on location, dealership, model and variant. Again, if a particular model is available at a dealer in a region, the waiting period will be very short.

Tata Tiago EV

As mentioned earlier, there are multiple variants of the electric versions of these three cars in Tata’s hands. The battery range is according to all this so the price is again noticeable. The Tiago EV is currently one of the best entry-level electric cars in India. While its base model has that 19.2 kWh battery pack, the top model has a 24 kWh battery. A model with a small battery pack can cover a distance of about 250 km on a single charge. On the other hand, with the help of a large battery, one can go up to about 315 km per charge. The ex-showroom price range of the Tata Tiago EV has gone from Tk 8.69 lakh to Tk 12.04 lakh.

Tata Tigor EV

The EV model in the sedan segment is the Tigor EV. All its models use a 26 kWh battery pack. It can be fully charged in 9 hours. The riding range of this car is 315 km/charge. Starting from Tk 12.49 lakh to a maximum of Tk 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom), you can bring this car home. A four star safety rating is also available in this case.

Tata Nexon EV

Tata Nexon is the first name that comes to mind when we talk about Tata Motors and India’s most secure car at the moment. It has a five star safety rating. The electric version of this car is available as EV Max and EV Prime. Among these, the Prime series models use a 30.2 kWh battery pack as energy storage. It takes nine hours to charge. Prime series cars can travel around 312 km on a full charge. The ex-showroom price starts at Tk 14.49 lakh.

The larger version of the Nexon Prime is the Nexon EV Max. It uses a 40.5 kWh battery pack, which is capable of running up to 453 km on a single charge. This battery can be fully charged in 15 hours with the help of a normal charger, but this time is reduced to six and a half hours with the DC First charger. The Max series models are available starting from Tk 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
