Tata Motors launched its first coupe-styled SUV, the Curve EV, a while ago. It is an electric car, with prices starting at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Curve EV is currently Tata's flagship model and the fifth electric vehicle in the company's lineup. Petrol and diesel versions of the car will also be launched this time. You don't have to wait long for that. The price of the Curve ICE model will be announced on September 2.
Tata Curve petrol and diesel variants will be officially launched on September 2. It will have three powertrain options – 1.2-litre turbo petrol (118bhp and 170Nm), 1.5-litre turbo diesel (115bhp and 260Nm), and the new 1.2-litre GDI turbo petrol engine, which produces 125bhp and 225 nm. The transmission will have six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT options.
Incidentally, this is the first time a diesel engine car in India will be offered a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Talking about the design, the Tata Curve ICE will offer split headlamps, LED DRLs, LED headlights, front-rear LED light bars, flash fitting door handles, dual tone alloy wheels, LED taillights. Five color options are available in this car.
The Tata Curve ICE will come with advanced features like panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen system, full digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, auto-hold function, wireless charger, and advanced driver assistance system in second stage. Ex-showroom prices will be between Tk 12 to Tk 18 lakh.
