BSNL Rs 88 Plan Revised: After offering cheaper recharge options and various other offers compared to private telecom operators in an attempt to attract customers for so long, this time BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has taken a virtually opposite step. In fact, this government agency has recently reduced the validity of one of its Rs.88 plans. It is believed that with this move BSNL is actually trying to increase the tariff cost – so while they usually offer more benefits, this time it is the opposite.
Incidentally, changing the benefits of a recharge plan while keeping the price the same is not new. Companies like Jio, Airtel and even BSNL have done this before. This is a business strategy, so that many times customers do not realize that their service has become expensive.
How many days validity will you get in Rs 88 BSNL plan now?
Earlier the validity of Rs 88 plan of BSNL was 35 days, but now it has been reduced to 30 days due to change of company. That means if you recharge it, you will get 5 days less service from now. But even with reduced benefits, the state-owned company's plan is still cheaper than private companies. Because at this price (read less than 100 rupees) practically no company offers one month validity.
Benefits of BSNL's Rs.88 plan
BSNL's Rs 88 plan charges rechargers 10 paise per minute for on-net calls and 30 paise per minute for off-net calls with a validity of 30 days. No data benefits will be available.
In that case you can recharge this BSNL plan in all telecom circles of the country. And it's no doubt an ideal option to keep a secondary SIM active cheaply. Meanwhile, BSNL is currently working on the 4G roll out, so recharging the plan is expected not to cause any service related problems to the company.
