Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off one new motorbike in recent times. The list ranges from Goan Classic 350 to Classic 650 Twin and Interceptor Bear 650. Now the name of Scram 440 is added to that list. It is going to be launched very soon as the company's first 440 cc motorcycle. The new model will replace the Scram 411.
Royal Enfield Scram 440 may be launched in January
The biggest upgrade of the new Royal Enfield Scram 440 over the old Scram 411 will be the more powerful 443 cc engine. This new LS 440 powertrain will deliver better performance and produce 4.5 percent more power. The bike is capable of producing 25.4 horsepower at 6,250 rpm. Even so, the amount of torque has increased by 6.5 percent. Now a maximum torque of 34 Nm is available at 4,000 rpm.
Scrum 440 looks more or less similar to Scrum 411. There is a small cowl around the round headlight of the bike. Large fuel tank and slim tail section can be noticed on the bike. Royal Enfield will sell the motorcycle in four new color options namely Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green and Trail Blue.
Talking about the features, this Enfield bike will get LED headlights, switchable dual-channel ABS, digital analog instrument cluster, USB charging port. Tech-savvy riders can also opt for the Tripper Pod, which provides turn-by-turn navigation. There are spoked wheels as standard but there is an option to upgrade to alloys. The bike has 19-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear.
