Royal Enfield has started working on a new 440 cc motorcycle to compete with the newly launched Harley-Davidson X440 and Triumph Scrambler 400X. Named – Scram 440 (codename – D4K). In line with their new generation 411 cc current model, it will feature an air and oil cooled engine. Whereas the upcoming Himalayan 450 has a liquid cooled mill. Royal Enfield Scram 440 is likely to hit the market within the next few months.
There are wire spoke wheels and all LED lighting
The upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 440 will appear with its own style. The Scrambler model will feature a sloping fuel tank with extensions, wide handlebars, single piece seat, an upswept exhaust, rounded headlights, sleek taillamps, all LED lighting setup, and rugged looking wire spoke wheels. It will also feature a semi-digital instrument console with an optional trip navigation pod.
Dual channel ABS
Royal Enfield Scram 440 comes with two wheel disc brakes along with dual channel ABS to enhance rider safety and handling of the bike. Suspension is handled by telescopic front forks with fork gaiters and preload adjustable rear monoshock.
Will appear with 440 cc engine
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 will be launched with a 440 cc, air-oil cooled, single cylinder engine for better performance. It is a bigger version of the 411 cc engine present in the current model of the bike. 28-30 hp power can be obtained from the new model. Nothing is known about the transmission yet.
Royal Enfield Scram 440 Probable Price
The price of Royal Enfield Scram 440 will be announced after the launch. It is expected to hit the market within the next few months. The current market price of the 411cc version of the Scram ranges from Rs 2.06 lakh to Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Guess, the new neo-retro bike could be called a game-changer.
