Reliance Jio has already launched 5G services in India. Customers are benefiting from this new network in different parts of the country. However, some regions are yet to reach the company’s 5G services. Jio is trying to get the job done quickly. Meanwhile, a news has surfaced, which says that Mukesh Ambani’s company has started working on 6G.
Today Jio Platforms Ltd Senior Vice President, Ayush Bhatnagar said that Jio has already started building its own 6G core capable of specialized technology for 6G connectivity.
Bhatnagar also said that the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) (Release 17 and Release 18) will pave the way for making 6G a reality, along with improving 5G services.
Also, Bhatnagar said, Jio has deployed indigenous technology to launch 5G. And the number of customers that Jio has acquired after deploying this indigenous technology and providing 5G services, proves that they have been able to provide the right quality of service to the customers. This means other countries’ governments and telcos will also want to work with Jio to roll out 5G SA this time.
Commercial launch of 6G is expected in 2029. Governments, technology and industrial companies in various countries have already started working to make 6G a reality. If Reliance Jio succeeds quickly in their work there, it will become more self-reliant in terms of network technology and will be able to offer 6G domains to telcos in different countries around the world.
