The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI has released a list of subscribers to be connected with telecom companies in January 2024. As per the data released by TRAI on Monday, Reliance Jio has the highest number of subscribers this year as well. On the other hand, Vodafone Idea’s subscriber base has declined as usual.
Jio added 42 lakh new subscribers
Reliance Jio managed to add maximum number of new subscribers in January 2024, according to data provided by TRAI. Jio added 4.2 million i.e. 42 lakh new subscribers during this period. And as a result Jio’s subscriber base has now reached 463.99 million (46.399 crore).
Incidentally, Airtel also saw a significant increase in the number of subscribers during this period. The telco added 0.75 million (7.5 lakh) new subscribers during this period, after which Airtel’s total subscriber base rose to 382 million (38.2 crore).
Vodafone Idea has lost customers again
In January 2024, Vodafone Idea faced losses as usual. During this period the company lost around 15 lakh customers. Then Vodafone Idea’s subscriber base stands at 221 million (22.1 crore).
