Good news for Instagram users. Now Favorite Reels can be downloaded without any third party app. After a long wait, Instagram is finally going to offer this facility to its users. But this facility will be available only for selected users. Recently on his Broadcast Channel, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri announced that now Instagram users in the United States can download Reels directly to their devices.
Incidentally, currently the number of monthly active users of Instagram in the whole world is about 2.35 billion i.e. 235 crores. And among these, the number of Instagram users in India is about 229 million i.e. 22.9 crore. However, Indian users will not be able to use the feature to download reels right now.
How will this new feature for Instagram Reels work?
Users in the US can now download Reels videos shared by public accounts, Adam Mosseri wrote in a post. And for this, just tap on the share icon of the preferred reel and select the download option. But shared reels cannot be downloaded by private accounts. However, if public account users turn off the option to download reels by going to their account settings, no other user will be able to download their reels. The downloaded video will reportedly contain a watermark, along with an Instagram logo alongside the account name.
It has already been informed that Indian users will not be able to download Instagram Reels directly right now, they will have to wait for some more time. But now reels are downloaded by third party apps.
