Xiaomi Redmi 9 is all set to launch in India on August 4 during Amazon Prime Day Sale. It was already launched in China last month that includes a large 5,020mAh battery and a quad rear camera setup. The launch event of Redmi 9 goes live on August 4 at 12 pm (noon) IST.

Redmi 9 specifications
As per Chinese variant, Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) display with a waterdrop-style notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor with ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and coupled up to 4GB of RAM.

In terms of Camera, The smartphone has a quad-camera setup at the back that includes a 13-megapixel (primary) camera, an 8-megapixel (ultrawide) sensor, a 5-megapixel (macro) sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Additionally, the phone equipped with a large 5,020mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. Redmi 9 also supports AI Face Unlock, along with a rear fingerprint sensor.
For Connectivity, the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5, Wi-Fi Direct, FM Radio, NFC, GPS, AGPS, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, and infrared sensor.
Redmi 9 Price and Availability
The Redmi 9 may be available in India at the same price of its Chinese variant which is starting from CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 8,500) for its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will available at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,600). According to recent leaks, In India, the Redmi 9 will come with a 6GB RAM model too. So, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model will cost CNY 1,199 (around Rs. 12,800).
