India has now become one of the automobile hubs of the world. Various cars manufactured in the country are being exported to different parts of the world. The list ranges from ordinary passenger cars to luxury four-wheelers. Delivery of the first Made-in-India Range Rover Sport has started in India. Local manufacturing of this luxury SUV in the country has reduced the ex-showroom price considerably. Now prices start from Tk 1.40 crore.
The Range Rover Sport is available in two powertrain options. The 3.0 liter petrol Dynamic SE engine produces 294 kW of power and 550 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 3.0 liter diesel Dynamic SE engine produces 258 kW of power and 700 Nm of torque. Incidentally, Jaguar Land Rover or JLR did contract manufacturing with Tata Motors in 2011. The Freelander was the first SUV to be produced locally in the country.
Being a luxury car, Range Rover Sport also has state-of-the-art features. It features dynamic air suspension, adaptive off-road cruise control, a 13.1-inch haptic touchscreen for navigation, media, and vehicle settings, intelligent connectivity, and the next-generation Cabin Air Purification Pro system.
