POCO M2 launching in India with a waterdrop notch style as per the teaser shared by Poco India. According to reports, the smartphone will be available for purchase via Flipkart on September 8. It is believed to be a lowered variant of POCO M2 Pro which is revealed back in July. Poco M2 may be launch as a rebranded version of Redmi 9C.

Poco has sent out media invites and shared a short video on YouTube for a launch event on September 8 where it will unveil the Poco M2. The event will be scheduled to be held at 12 pm (noon) on 8 September and the smartphone will be sold via Flipkart. The live event will be streamed across Poco India’s social media platforms. The Poco M2 launch is confirmed on twitter by a teaser video shared by Poco India.



Poco M2 Pro runs on MIUI 11 for Poco which is based on Android 10 out of the box. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display with 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the phone powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM.


The pricing and availability of the POCO M2 will also be unveiled at the event. The base variant of Poco M2 Pro launched in India at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB variant while 6GB + 64GB option costs Rs. 14,999. The high-end variant costs Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB + 128GB storage model.


However, the company has not shared any information about the smartphone. The specifications of the Poco M2 are currently unknown but it is expected to be a toned-down version of the Poco M2 Pro. As per the teased video, The Poco M2 launching with a waterdrop notch display. It might be launch as a tweaked version of the Redmi 9C. Moreover, it will be priced lower than the Poco M2 Pro as well.
