Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch the Poco M6 4G smartphone under its popular Poco brand in the global market. The 5G version of the Poco M6, however, has already been launched in India. It is also rumored that the Poco M6 Pro 4G and Poco M6 Pro 5G models under the Poco M series are also going to hit the market. And now, the Poco M6 4G has been spotted on the US's FCC and Thailand's NBTC certification platforms, indicating an imminent launch of the phone.
Poco M6 4G gets FCC and NBTC approval
The Poco M6 4G phone is listed on the United States Federal Communications Commission website under a different name. However, Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has released a listing for the model, which mentions the name as the Poco M6. According to information from NBTC, the Poco M6 Pro will support 4G LTE. So guess, Xiaomi will sell the device as Poco M6 4G, as the 5G version has already been released.
The Poco M6 4G is listed on the FCC website with the model number 2404APC5FG. The letter 'G' at the end of the model number ensures that it will sell in the global market. According to the FCC listing, the phone will run on HyperOS operating system and will come with a 4,930 mAh battery. It will support 33W wired charging. But the battery is expected to be marketed as more than 5,000 mAh.
Note that the direct predecessor model of Poco M6 4G was launched almost two years ago. So it is not clear whether the company is planning to release the model soon. However, more details about the Poco M6 4G are expected to surface before the launch.
