Planning to buy Bajaj Pulsar NS125? Big surprise Hero Xtreme 125R bike too, which one to take

Hero MotoCorp made a splash by launching Xtreme 125R in India’s 125cc motorcycle segment in the first of the year i.e. January. As there is a cool look, so are the features. The list of competitors of the bike in the market includes – Bajaj Pulsar NS125, Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon and TVS Raider 125. Today’s discussion revolves around Hero Xtreme 125R and Bajaj Pulsar NS125. The Pulsar NS125 has been working to deepen its presence in the market for a long time. This report is to tell who is ahead between these two models. Here is the price comparison of both the bikes.

Design

The Hero Xtreme 125R sports a sporty and muscular look. Visually similar to the Xtreme 160R. It features projector LED head lamps, LED indicators and signature LED tail lamps. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 features wolf-eye headlights. There are also Infiniti twin strip LED tail lamps.

The two bikes are unwilling to leave each other’s ground without a fight. Hero has introduced the Extreme 125R as a rival to the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. The power of both bikes can be seen in Maidan. The IBS and ABS variants of the Hero Xtreme 125R are priced at Rs 95,000 and Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom) respectively. On the other hand, Pulsar NS125 costs Rs 99,571 (ex-showroom).

Engine and performance

Powering the Xtreme 125R is a 124.7 cc single cylinder, air cooled engine. It will produce 11.4 bhp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. One liter of petrol is claimed to run 66 km. On the other hand, the Pulsar NS125 gets an output of 11.8 bhp from its 124.45 cc air cooled engine. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/hr in 6.6 seconds and has a mileage of 56 km.

Color options and fuel tank capacity

The Hero Xtreme 125R is available in three color options. It has a ten liter fuel tank. Whereas the Pulsar NS125 is available in four color options. Its fuel tank capacity is 12 liters.

Both the motorcycles share several features. For example, both models have telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, LED tail lamps, alloy wheels, 5-speed gearbox, digital speedometer etc.
