Oppo Reno 6 series launched with a 90Hz refresh rate and 65W fast charging support. It is the successor of the Reno 5 series which was launched back in December. The reno 6 packs a triple rear camera setup while the reno 6 Pro & 6 pro+ equips with a Quad rear camera setup. All Oppo reno 6 series runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.3 on top out of the box.

Oppo Reno 6 features a 6.4-inches AMOLED Full-HD+ (1080 x 2040 pixels) resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 2.5D curved glass, and a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner. Under the hood, The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB RAM + 25GB storage. In terms of camera, The smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel (primary) camera + 8-megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor + 2-megapixel (macro) sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie snapper.

The device is fueled by a 4,300mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging. The sensor on board includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The thickness device is about 7.59mm thin and weighs182 grams.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro comes with a slightly larger 6.55-inches 20:9 AMOLED Full-HD+ (1080 x 2040 pixels) resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness, 88.6% screen-to-body ratio, 402 PPI screen density, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, The smartphone is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, paired with up to 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

In terms of the optics, Oppo Reno 6 Pro has a quad rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel (primary) camera with an aperture of f/1.7 + 8-megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor with f/2.2 aperture + 2-Megapixel (macro) sensor with f/2.4 aperture + 2-Megapixel (depth) sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies & videos, Oppo Reno 6 Pro offers a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is fueled by a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Other feature includes under-display fingerprint reader, 7.6mm thickness, 177g weight, and comes in Black, Blue, Aurora color finishes.

Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ sport a 6.55-inches full-HD+ (1080 x 2040 pixels) resolution OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner. For performance, The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. There is a 50-megapixel (primary) camera + 16-megapixel (Ultrawide) sensor + 13-megapixel (telephoto) sensor + 2-megapixel (macro) sensor. On the front, the smartphone comes with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

It packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging. For connectivity, I include the support of 5G, dual sim slot, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a USB Type C port. The sensor onboard includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light sensor, and in-display fingerprint reader. Lastly, It weighs 188 grams and is 7.99mm thick.

Oppo Reno 6 series launched: Price & Availability

The base variant of the Oppo Reno 6 is priced at CNY 2,799 (around Rs.31,800) for the 8GB + 128GB storage while the high end variant 12GB + 256GB storage costs CNY 3,199 (around Rs. 36,400). The Reno 6 Pro base variant of 8GB + 128GB storage costs CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 39,800) and the 12GB + 256GB storage option is priced at CNY 3,799 (around Rs. 43,200). The Reno 6 Pro+ carries a price tag of CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 45,500) for the 8GB + 128GB storage option and CNY 4,499 (around Rs. 51,200) for the 12GB + 256GB storage variant.

Currently, Oppo Reno 6 series is up for pre-order on Oppo’s official website, The Reno 6 will go on sale from 5 June whereas the Reno 6 Pro/6 Pro+ is expected to go on sale on June 11.

However, The Chinese tech company has not confirmed the international availability of the devices yet but a recent report from Techradar suggested that the Reno 6 series will make its debut in India around July.
