The newly launched Ola S1 Air crossed 50,000 nights in a single day after bookings started on July 27. This is Ola Electric’s cheapest electric scooter. To compete with which Ather Energy is launching tomorrow the cheapest scooty in their history Ather 450S. Now the point is, what are the feature differences between the two affordable models? Ola S1 Air vs Ather 450S : Design
At first glance, Ola S1 Air might be mistaken for S1 Pro. A closer look, however, reveals the S1 Air’s traditional telescopic front fork, dual rear shocks, 12-inch alloy wheels, and a blacked-out rear section. However, the two models share the same headlight setup. Again S1 Air is 13 kg lighter than Ola S1 Pro.
On the other hand, the Ather 450S is also similar in design to the company’s flagship scooter 450X. It has a sleek design and sharp sporty styling. The upcoming scooter will come with telescopic front fork, rear monoshock, LED headlights and alloy wheels.
Ola S1 Air vs Ather 450S : Battery specification and range
Ola S1 Air gets a 3 kWh battery pack. It is claimed to deliver a range of 125 km on a full charge in Eco mode. Its motor output is 4.5 kW. The battery will take 5 hours to fully charge.
The Ather 450S also comes with a 3 kWh battery. Whereas the 450X features a 3.7 kWh battery pack. Ether claims that the 450S will get a range of 115 km.
Ola S1 Air vs Ather 450S : Features
All the features of the Ola S1 Pro are also present in the S1 Air, except for Hyper Mode. The S1 Air gets a slightly smaller boot, at 34 liters and a flat floorboard. It has a lower resolution TFT display than the Pro model.
On the other hand, Ather has dropped several features of the 450X to keep the price of their upcoming 450S down. However, the new list of features is yet to be revealed. It is expected to have a lower resolution display. Details about the scooter can be told only after the launch tomorrow.
