Ola Electric launched their cheapest electric scooter S1X in August last year. The model was priced at Rs 79,999 and Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom) for the 2kWh and 3kWh battery packs respectively. A week after the expiry of the introductory price, the price was increased to Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999.
However, later Ola slashed the prices of the 2kWh and 3kWh battery pack models of the S1 X to Rs 79,999 and Rs 84,999 respectively. Even as the Fem-2 project expired in March, the price has been kept unchanged. The reason for so much talk is that recently Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal hinted at a further drop in the price of the scooter in a post on social media. And after that various discussions started around Ola S1X among the interested buyers.
Ola Electric may reduce the price of S1X scooter
On April 15, i.e. Monday, Ola Electric will come up with a bunch of announcements. The report claims that Ola may also announce the delivery timings of its cheapest electric scooter, the S1 X range, on the same day. Also the company may announce the new price of Ola S1X range. Incidentally, the company claims that the S1X can provide a range of 143 km on a full charge and a top speed of 90 km per hour.
Key features of the Ola S1 X include a 4.3-inch LCD screen, LED headlamps, three riding modes, twin telescopic front suspension and dual rear shocks, drum brakes, etc. Ola registered 53,000 units of electric scooters in March.
